The DUKE is finally opened

I was pleasantly surprised on late Friday afternoon when at 6.30pm I had to rush to Bentong. I was expecting I would be stuck in Jalan Kuching for at least half an hour, I told my son to expect me circa 8pm earliest. As it was the eve of a long weekend, I anticipated a normal logjam. As I turn left into into the newly completed DUKE heading towards Jln Kuching from the Sri Hartamas, my heart did a double leaps as I saw the normally covered  green signboards that says Kuantan, Hulu klang, Setaiwangsa was already unmasked. True enough, by 6.45pm I was already refuelling my Kenari at the MRR2 near Gombak toll gate heading towards Kuantan and I reached my son’s school in Bentong a few minutes before maghrib. Meaning, it took me less than an hour to reach Bentong from Bukit Kiara on Friday afternoon on the eve of a long weekendand it was drizzling too. It was a record of some sort. Despite my earlier brickbats, I have to swallow my spittle and say thank you to DUKE. The RM2 toll was worh it. I hope it will continue to provide me with jam free ride to the office everyday.
